Hands down, make-up is my favourite service that I offer!! Having a career where an aspect of your job is make-up shopping…#livingthedream

But not everyone feels the same way about make-up, many people shy away from it. Make-up can change your appearance, or enhance your natural beauty, the choice is yours! That’s w...

What happens at a Bridal hair trial??

Posted on 20 February, 2019 at 4:45 Comments comments (0)

I love a bridal trial, a bit of girly time chatting about all things beautiful and sparkly, from wedding venues and dresses, to hair care and latest make-up trends. Let face is, we all love a good gossip!! Especially while creating that dream look for you, so that you feel and look absolutely stunning as you walk down the aisle!

So what should you expect from your bridal trial? All stylists have their own ways, but the goal is still the same, to make sure every aspect; ha...

Wedding days are so precious and so important, you have been dreaming of your special day for months, if not years!!

Would you walk into a dress shop, show the assistant a picture of the dress you want and walk out with said dress having not tried it on??

It’s the same for your hair and/or make-up! I don’t know about you, but I knew exactly what dr...

Will it hold??

I had the pleasure of spending the morning with the beautiful Claire, on the 3rd November 2018, to style her hair before she walked down the aisle to say 'I do'

I met Claire for her trial on an extremely hot day in July, she wanted an elegant up-do and had plenty of pictures to show me so we knew exactly the look she wanted.

Posted on 29 January, 2019 at 2:40 Comments comments (0)

We all start the year making resolutions that we just can’t keep! I have done it so many times and failed, and then kicked myself for it!

So in 2018 I set myself a small goal…read at least one book a month. In 2018 I read 26 books! So this year my goal is to read at least one book a month (finished book number one in bed when the hubby went off to work this morning, if I am getting up at 5am to pack him a lunch that definit...

My beautiful bride Gemma...what can I say?  From the moment she called to chat about make-up, to arriving at my studio for her trial with millionare shortbread, just in case we got peckish (damn you Slimming World lol) to a morning full of laugher and celebration, I didn't want this wedding to ever end!!

Gemma arrived at my door with gorgeous long hair and a beautiful beaming smile, she had a rough idea for make-up, and for the h...

Distress call...MUA down!!

Hair stylist and make-up artists in Kent are in abundance, it is a highly competitive industry to be in! However I don’t see fellow stylists as competition, yes we all have our own businesses, but we are still colleagues, we are a support network, were are there for each other!

I often get asked by brides ‘what happens if you are ill on my wedding day?’ or ‘what if something goes wrong and you canR...

Unfortunately there are days in this industry you can not afford to be ill :( and friday was one of them!  After hardly any sleep I plastered on my face (which I dived into my kit for....I was in desperate need of the good stuff!) and headed off to meet the gorgeous Nikki for her wedding day!

On arriving at the B&B I discovered I was not the only one with the dreaded germs, with a poorly bride and a maid of honour full of cold!  It SNOT F...

Bridal Hair and Make-up: Do's and Don'ts

Posted on 20 January, 2015 at 9:15 Comments comments (0)

Hello ladies, I have never tried this whole 'blog' thing before!  But I guess there is a first time for everything!! Deciding what to write my first entry about was no contest.  Sadly I have worked recently with brides that have had bad experiences with therapists working within the wedding industry and this has unfortunately cost the brides more money and added to their pre-wedding stress.

T...
